Merry Christmas!

Let me share a little Christmas craziness from our family.

Now, what can seniors learn from a crazy family taking a Christmas swim in Minnesota? Please indulge me…

We live on a lake, and many years we begin ice skating as early as Thanksgiving, but not this year. El Nino currents have kept our winter temperatures well above normal. No ice means no skating!

After Thanksgiving I planted the seed with our family – “If the lake is still open on Christmas Day, how about a family swim?” They embraced the idea, so we kept watch on the weather, and waited.

Some other bays on our lake began to freeze over, but not ours!

On Christmas day, after brunch and opening presents, even our dog Ringo could sense that something extra exciting was about to happen.
