One problem our clients may run into this holiday season is scheduling. This of course depends on your insurance and if they will cover homecare on federal holidays. To be sure that you will be able to have coverage on these days, ask your provider. So let’s talk about this really quickly.
Your Care is On the Holiday
If one of your regular care days falls on a holiday, you will need to check that it will be covered by your insurance. If it is, you can still decide whether or not you want a caregiver that day. But if you decide to not have a caregiver come that day, just let the office know if you want to cancel or reschedule. That is entirely up to you and your family plans. But if you do decide to reschedule or cancel your care, please notify the office as soon as possible!
Your Care is Not Directly on the Holiday
Then your care should not have been affected at all. If you would like to change one of your regular days to cover the holiday, please let us know as soon as possible. This way we can work on you getting coverage as soon as possible for the holidays.
If you would like to learn more about how holiday homecare can help you, you can learn more here. I will see you later, I hope you’re alright with this shorter post. It’s one of those things that I feel like I should say something about, even though it is not a very robust topic.
