We as an agency work hard to match our clients with caregivers. When clients sign up for services with us, we talk with them about their needs and goals for care, and try to send the best caregivers that we can. If the client has multiple caregiving sessions a week, we try to make the careg iving consistent by having the same one or two caregivers go to those clients. However, finding a caregiver whose schedule matches our clients’ and one who meshes well with the client can take time.
Be Patient
Finding a good match can take some time, but we will always work at it. If we send you someone who you do not gel with, that does not mean that we will stop looking for someone. We also always appreciate your patience with us and we hope you will be happy with our caregivers.
Constant Communication
We in the office are not in your home during your caregiver’s shifts, so if there’s something wrong with your care, we need to know about it. Please do not feel like you’re “tattling” on your caregiver. We know that there are a lot of issues that can arise that are neither the client nor the caregiver’s fault. By keeping communication open with us, we can make any needed adjustments or give any needed guidance to our caregivers.
Keep an Open Mind
It can take a little while either for caregivers and clients to connect well, so our advice is to take a few visits to get to know the caregiver. If you don’t think that they are doing what you want them to do, please reach out to us and let us know. Also, if you decide that you or your loved one needs more advanced care than you originally thought that they did.
What else do you want us to cover here? What questions about homecare do you have?
