Get Some Medical Advice

A great way to stay on top of your heart health is to talk to your doctor. Go into that conversation with as much family history as you can gather of cardiovascular diseases. This is a great way to discuss your risk of developing heart related conditions, and your doctor may have some ideas of lifestyle changes you may be able to make to manage your risk.

Change Your Diet

Another great way to keep an eye on your heart health is through your diet. American Heart Association has this amazing tool to build a heart healthy grocery list. You do not have to overhaul your whole diet in one grocery store visit, but maybe this inspires you to try to find a few heart healthy swaps that you genuinely like and can eat long-term. You may also consider cutting back on cutting out alcohol of your diet. You may need to cut alcohol out because of other medications that you are taking anyways.
