About Us
I am new to the homecare business and couldn’t be more excited. Throughout my life, I’ve always stumbled into the roles of caregiving, whether it was mentoring a freshman on the soccer field, assisting the misunderstood elderly co-worker or caring for my father and two 90-year-old great aunts. Caring for my ailing family members was hard. Really hard. I found a compassion, I didn’t know I had, and I know firsthand how important, challenging, and rewarding caretaking is to the family as well as the client.
My previous position as general manager of The Echo Restaurant was the ultimate catalyst in grooming me for this new opportunity. I helped run this Cincinnati icon for the last 15 years by leading a group of veteran staff care for dedicated customers, who treat the staff as family. I learned the ins and outs of a business while sharpening my management skills navigating daily staffing issues and customer needs.
I am now groomed to combine my life and professional skills to build an agency in Cincinnati through CareBuilders at Home that will thrive in empathy and precision.
We have two programs that will set us apart from other agencies and help our clients have a better quality of life. We are launching the Brain, Health, and Fitness program. Clients with the hardest diagnosis can benefit with chair yoga, crosswords, or coloring, and our caregivers are trained to incorporate these simple routines into their visits.
The other is task-oriented services. It acknowledges that typical hour minimums might look different for every family and gives a fresh perspective on home healthcare. If a client is recovering from a hip replacement and needs an assist with a shower, we will come, give the shower and leave. Some families live across the country and their loved one is becoming more and more lonely. We will check in with them daily, assess their needs, and help give them someone to chat with.
What is clear to me, home healthcare looks different for every client and family, and I am keeping that at the forefront of every client visit and intake. I look forward to expanding my knowledge while keeping my core empathy and hard work to benefit your family.
